Amber is a Sa-Mao-Rish (Ngāpuhi/Manase) writer of things, amateur astrologer, terrifically bad dancer, and professional procrastinator who is always bringing ultimate Gemini chaos-angel vibes. She grew up in Tāmaki Makaurau. 

When she was younger, she began her lifelong obsession with mythology, learning all she could about Ngā Atua Māori alongside Egyptian and Greek mythology. This was all prep for what she wanted to be, which was an anthropologist, archaeologist extraordinaire. 

Growing up, she loved writing stories about underground worlds, futuristic Aucklands, and mermaids.
