Edith was the first recipient of the Marti Friedlander Photographic Award. She gained a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Auckland and currently teaches at the Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland. Her work is owned by the Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Hospital, Te Papa Museum. She has travelled to photograph in France, Italy and Alaska in the United States of America. She started photographing in high school, aged16 years. She likes to catch the train and has one daughter who is 14 years old.
'I liked thrillers as a younger person so I read everything by R.L Stine like the Goosebumps series, and then later Stephen King.'
